Hey people!

I'm really proud of you people! The SYF performance was really wonderful. I could REALLY feel that you all had done your best and did all you could. Although we might not have gotten the award we expected, but i think that really doesn't matter. What matters is how hard each of us worked for the past 6 months and how we got to know more about each other through the whole process.

Firstly, as i did not have a chance to say it before. I'm really happy that you people had voted for me, thinking that I have the potential to lead you people and having the faith in me. I really enjoyed being your President! Thank you!

Although sectionals were not really successful as it always ends up with all the scolding and noise, but those are the times that i will really remember as it is the evidence of us working very hard. I would also like to thank you all for cooperating with the committee and those who changed their tution time, piano lessons etc, to attend choir practices. Especially the sec 4s, despite all the common tests and everything, you all never failed to turn up for every practice.

At the same time, i would like to apologize if I have offended you somewhere or another and if I have scolded you when you were not in the wrong at all. I'm really sorry. I hope that you all can understand and not blame me for it.

To the committee members, I really had a wonderful time working with you all and I really need to thank you all for cooperating with me, tolerating my nonsense and turning up for every meeting despite the late notices. I could also see that you all worked very hard to set a good example for the choir members. Also, sacrificing a lot of your time, not just for choir practices and sectionals, but also meetings, orientation programme, choral workshop and the hong kong competition. I'm sure that there are more things and all those would not happen happen without you people. Thank you!

I really want to thank you people for giving me such wonderful memories and I will always remember all the wonderful times we had spent together. No matter whether it is happy, sad, angry, funny, it will forever be he best times I had in secondary school.

Lastly, I hope that...

Sec 4s and 5: will get SUPER good results for o levels. Work hard people! It will be your one and only chance! Show others that choir does not ony know how to sing, but we are smart too!
Sec 3s: will be the best seniors for the juniors and lead them to greater heights!
Sec 2s: will help the sec 3s 4s and 5 by getting a GOLD for choir in the next SYF!
Sec 1s: will LOVE choir as much as we all do!

Oh and i would also like to thank Mrs Lock, Mr Lai, Mdm Azrina and Mr Yong for all the precious things that you have taught me! You all are really the BEST teachers!!(: You people also have too support and cooperate with the new committe members! I belive that they will do a great job!

Petrina!(:

A Big Thank You

17th April 2009 marked the last performance, and the last practice officially with the choir for the 2009 batch. Even though we may not be attending practices anymore, we promise we'll go back some time soon. [ P.S PLAN A GOOD FAREWELL FOR US!:D] Now, we would just like to thank everyone in the choir for making the 4 years a good one.

To tell you the truth, despite all the sectionals which left everyone tired + pissed off, and all the disputes amongst some of us, we really had a great time being part of the choir. Especially with special thanks to our conductor, Mr Yong. No words can describe the memorable times we had have with him and the choir in 2007, 2008 & 2009!!

SYF is over, and it means that the sec 4's are stepping down and the new batch of sec 1's will be joining the choir. We hope that you will be even bonded as a choir. We would just like to express our gratitude to the following people:

Firstly, Mrs Lock. Besides being a wonderful teacher, she is like a mother to the choir family. She never fails to care about the choir and give her utmost best to us. We would just like to say that we are aware of her contributions and her concern for us is greatly appreciated.

Secondly, Mr Lai. Everyone agrees that he is a fun teacher-in-charge. He might be a little lame occasionally but we sec 4's are really glad to have known him. He never fails to make us laugh whenever he talks to us.

Thirdly, Mdm Azrina. She is the one who always helps the choir to get a venue for us to practice. No matter what we requested for, she always tries her very best to help us get what we want.

Most importantly, MR YONG CHEE FOON. He is a wonderful conductor whom we really, really, really respect. We love you! Haha, how else can we show our respect & love for you through words! He has been very patient with us( for being such noisy&stubborn people!), and I don't think any other conductors would have been able to tolerate our behavior( seriously!). We will never forget the 7 days in Hong Kong, whereby he was not only our conductor, but more of a friend to us. We will never forget what he has taught us for the past 4 years. Thank you, Mr Yong! :D

Of course, we will like to thank all choir members for everything, you all are really great juniors

Thank you choir,
Thank you teachers, &
Thank you Mr Yong!

HEY CHOIR,

GOOD JOB FOR YESTERDAY'S PERFORMANCE. IT WAS REALLY WONDERFUL, you all know it :D

Although the results were shocking, but don't be too disappointed. What's most important is not the outcome, but the experience. All of us enjoyed it, and we knew we had tried our very best after we got off the stage. We knew we did much better as usual, and that's what matters! FYI, many people said we did well too :D

Let's just move on and continue bringing the standard of NAS choir up alright? Ganbatte!

But for now, concentrate on MYE. Work hard and continue improving so that our EOY results would be great and we'll get the reward from the school next year!:D

JUST TO ADD ON..MR YONG SAID WE ARE GOLD IN HIS HEART..so don' be so sad and continue your passion for CHOIR!!!

It's 10 days left to SYF.

Please please please please please put in your best effort for the next 10 days. We only have 3 practices with Mr Yong, and 2 sectionals. I'm sure you all know that we're really short of time! So pleaseeeeeeeee!

Individually, only you can help yourself! Go youtube, listen to how the rest sing, ask your section leaders for the recordings, look at the mirror and work on your facial expression etc etc. There's so much you can do!

During practices/ sectionals, focus and sing the way you're gonna sing on 17th! Every note matters! Not forgetting expression, please understand the song and don't sing like some zombie. You'll look horrible on stage! CHORDS are important too. Please blend with the others, no point trying to make your section stand out and not blend, you'll only become worst!

If you have something against anyone in choir, hold back your comments, this isn't the time to gossip/ hate whatever. Everyone in choir is important, everyone has to put in his/her own effort! Rmb, the strength on the choir is dependent on it's weakest member!

WE'RE AIMING FOR GOLD, MINIMUM. GO PEOPLE. DO THE SCHOOL PROUD!:D

Sops, please sound more cheerful![: SMILE!:D
Altos, for turot, you first line is important too, please prepare. YOU HAVE ONLY ONE CHANCE. And sing with a rounded tone!
Tenors, don't go flat!
Basses, work on the notes for the train song!

That's all I have to say!

Choir...it is only like 11 days left to SYF..
please tell me honestly what would you like to get for SYF??
If it is a GOLD, PLEASE..work hard and give us, your section leaders your fullest cooperation during EVERY sectionals.
Come on, it is only like 11 more days you are going to put up with the section leaders..so just give us that GOLD ATTITUDE of yours and not SLACK like no body's business!!
Look at other CCA's! they are all working very hard for this year's SYF as they know that this year's expectations is very high.
So please just come for every practices that we have planned out for you. It is for your own good!!
The next practice is on 7 April 2009 From 2.30pm-3pm for sec ones and 3pm-5.30pm for those taking part in SYF.
